Moore for the Future Endowment Campaign

Upcoming Events
Every Tuesday - 1 to 3 pm - Fiber/
     textile craft group. Knitters,
     crotcherers, needlepointers, etc.
     are invited to join others who
     share their passion for fiber arts
     for open weekly gatherings in
     the Parlor room of the library.
Every Thursday - 1 to 3 pm - American
     Mahjong group. Beginners as
     well as experienced players
     welcome to join in the fun.
December and January- Art in the
     Library: $50 & Under. This show
     will feature a variety of art and
     craft. Artists include Jeanne
     Benedict, EarthlySuds Co., Tera
     Fey,Jenne Heavrin,Nancy
     McGinnis,Donna Pickard,and
     Jimmi VanKeuren. Exhibit open
     during library hours.
January 10th - 4 pm - Book Club
     Meeting. Will discuss Pigs in
     Heaven
by Barbara Kingsolver.
     Copies of the book are available
     at the library. Open to all.
January 13th - 6 pm - Movie Night -
     The BFG. PG. 117 min. A girl
     named Sophie encounters the
     Big Friendly Giant who, despite his
     intimidating appearance, turns out
     to be a kind-hearted soul who is
     considered an outcast by the other
     giants because, unlike them, he
     refuses to eat children.
     Shown on a big screen. As always,
     the movie is free and refreshments
     are sold by donation.
January 15th - 3 pm - Winter Concert
     with Steve Hartley and Curtis
     Russet playing a variety of tunes
     with an emphasis ontTraditional
     Appalachian music. Accompanying
     art exhibit/sale will be the works
     of Steuben artist Ray Carbone.
     Open to all by donation.
January 21st - 5 pm - Potluck Supper.
     Mid-winter is a great time to
     get out of the house and share
     a meal with friends and neighbors.
     The good food and good company
     will warm your soul. Bring a dish
     to share. Otherwise a free event.

The Library is easy to find: it is just off of Route 1 in Steuben, on the Village Road across from the Ella Lewis Grammar School. The driveway leads around back to the main entrance.
