Moore for the Future Endowment Campaign

Upcoming Events
Every Tuesday - 1 to 3 pm - Fiber/
     textile craft group. Knitters,
     crotcherers, needlepointers, etc.
     are invited to join others who
     share their passion for fiber arts
     for open weekly gatherings in
     the Parlor room of the library.
Every Thursday - 1 to 3 pm - American
     Mahjong group. Beginners as
     well as experienced players
     welcome to join in the fun.
August - Art in the Library -
    Featuring the work of Jeanne
    Benedict . Available for viewing
    during library hours. Opening
    reception Monday August 6th
    from 5:30 to 7 pm.

August 24th - 5 pm - Potluck supper
    followed by presentation by
   
Courtney Waring on "The Whole
    Book Approach to exploring
    elements of picture books. Free
    and open to all.
August 25th - 10 am - Chris van
    Dusen will read aloud form his
   
book "The Circus Ship".
August 29th - 7 to 8 pm - Book Club
    discussion of Things Fall Apart
   
by Chinua Echebe. Part of the
    summer's Let's Talk About it Series
    "Where am I? The Individual in the
    Community" facilitated by Dr. Colin
    Windhorst. Copies are available
    at the library. Free and open to all.
August 31st- 3–5 pm - Bess the
    Book Bus and Darlings Ice Cream
    with a Cause. All children
    welcome. Free.
September 1st- 5–6 pm - Silent
    Auction. Bid on lots of lovely
    items and perhaps come home
    with some treasures while
    supporting your library and
    community center. Hors d'oerves
    and beverages will be served.
September 1st- 6 pm - Baked Bean
    Supper. Enjoy a traditional
    home-cooked meal after the
    auction. By donation.

The Library is easy to find: it is just off of Route 1 in Steuben, on the Village Road across from the Ella Lewis Grammar School. The driveway leads around back to the main entrance.
