Moore for the Future Endowment Campaign

Upcoming Events
Every Tuesday - 1 to 3 pm - Fiber/
     textile craft group. Knitters,
     crotcherers, needlepointers, etc.
     are invited to join others who
     share their passion for fiber arts
     for open weekly gatherings in
     the Parlor room of the library.
Every Thursday - 1 to 3 pm - American
     Mahjong group. Beginners as
     well as experienced players
     welcome to join in the fun.
September - During library hours - Art
    in the Library: The work of Kathy
    Dardis. Opening reception on
    Monday September 11 from 6 to 7
    pm.
September 22nd - 3 to 5 pm - Bess
    the Book Bus and Darlings Ice
    Cream Truck. Face painting and
    popcorn too. Get a free book,
    treats, and have fun. Camden
    National Bank parking lot in
    Milbridge. Free.
September 24th - 3 to 5pm - Open Mic.
    Come share your musical talents
    or just enjoy some creative
    performances by local singers and
    musicians.
October - During library hours - Art
    in the Library: The work of Zoe
    Armstrong. Opening reception on
    Monday October 2nd from 6 to 8
    pm.

October 3rd - 4 pm- Book Club
    discussion of Writings on the Wall
    by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Copies
    available in the library. Free and
    open to all.
October 6th - 6 pm - Movie Night -
     Caspar. PG. 110 min. Enjoy this
     comedy/drama about Caspar,
     a kind young ghost who
     peacefully haunts a mansion
     in Maine. Shown on the big
     screen. Free admittance.
     Spooky snacks will be available
     by donation.
October 12th - 7 pm - Talk on the
     Cottages of Grindstone Neck.
     Presented by Larry Smith,
     longtime caretaker of many
     of the beautiful properties in this
     section of Winter Harbor with its
     origins dating back to 1889 as a
     planned summer colony similar to
     Bar Harbor. Light refreshments
     will be available.
October 13th - 6 pm - Movie Night -
     The Witches. PG. 110 min. Enjoy
     this fantasy/mystery about a boy
     who finds out that a convention
     of withces is plotting to turn all
     the children into mice.
     Shown on the big screen. Free
     admittance .Spooky snacks will
     be available by donation.
October 20th - 6 pm - Movie Night -
     Monster House. PG. 91 min.
     Enjoy this animated fantasy/
     mysteryabout 3 boys who discover
     that aneighborhood residence is
     reallya living creature that means
     harm. Shownon the big screen.
     Free admittance .Spooky snacks
     willbe available by donation.
October 27th - 6 pm - Movie Night
     Hotel Transulvania 2. PG. 89 min.
     Enjoy this fantasy action film
     about Dracula, his famous hotel,
     and his efforts to get his half-
     human grandson to show more of
     his vampire side. Shown on the
     big screen. Free admittance.
     Spooky snacks will be available
     by donation.

The Library is easy to find: it is just off of Route 1 in Steuben, on the Village Road across from the Ella Lewis Grammar School. The driveway leads around back to the main entrance.
