Upcoming Events
"Fizz, Boom, Read" Summer
      Reading Program for children and
      adults. Register at the library now
      through August 23rd.
Every Friday - 1 to 3 pm - American
       Mah Jongg group. Beginners as
       well as experienced players
       welcome to join in the fun.
August 4th to Sept. 27th - Art in the
      Library: Bob Bryson's "Black and
      White with a Bit of Color" exhibit.
     0pen during library hours.
August 14th - 12:30 to 2 pm: Computer
      class on using Photoshop Elements.
      Will run for 5 weeks. Computers
      with the software installed will be
      provided for the classes. Space is
      limited. To register call 1-866-
      7808-7998 or contact
August 14th - 2:30 to 4 pm - Computer
      class: Intermediate Quickbooks.
      Will run for 6 weeks. While not a
      basic class, no prerequisite is
      required for this class. Space is
     limited. To register call 1-866-

August 22nd - 6 pm - "Beans and
      Moore" old-fashioned baked bean
      supper. Enjoy a traditional home-
      sytle meal while supporting the
      Library. By donation.
August 29th - 12:20 to 2 pm - Bess the
      Book Bus will be visiting the Moore
      Library. Free book and ice cream
      for all children who attend.
September 2nd - 4 pm - "Defining
      Wildnerness, Defining Maine",a
      free reading and discussion group
      starts and will continue for 5
      weeks. First book is The Maine
      Woods by Henry David Thoreaus.
      Copies of the books are available
      at the Library. For more info about
      this program, see our News page.
September 7th - 5 pm - Gala
      Community Supper at Christopher's
      Restaurant at Eagle Hill. Social hour
      with Silent Auction and 50/50
      raffle followed by a delicious
      candlelight meal. All proceeds to
      benefit 5 organizations including
      the Moore Library and Community
      Center. RSVP required.

The Library is easy to find: it is just off of Route 1 in Steuben, on the Village Road across from the Ella Lewis Grammar School. The driveway leads around back to the main entrance.
